Lichfield City Council - Darwin Hall
Lichfield City Council wanted to provide community facilities for the new Darwin Park Estate area, which would also function as a public hall for the City offering excellent facilities at affordable cost.
Invigour was recruited, following a competitive tendering process, to review the business plan and spatial needs, develop the client brief, set up design team appointments and advise on procurement strategy and contractor selection.
Invigour’s appointment enabled the client team to gain a thoroughly reviewed business case that recommended a smaller hall than originally conceived.
Invigour, led a successful competitive process culminating in the appointment of a multi-disciplinary design team to take the project forward.
Additional activities also included testing the demand for new community facilities, assisting with planning and section 106 negotiations - including discussions with adjoining owners to achieve a comprehensive development, along with matters relating to both car parking and funding.
